Ted Trabue 
Ted Trabue is currently the Executive Director of the District of Columbia Economic Empowerment Coalition, and the Co-Founder of the Green Builders Council of DC. In 2007, he was appointed to the DC State Board of Education. In November of 2008, Mr. Trabue was elected to an At-Large seat on the State Board of Education, receiving over 145,000 votes.
Mr. Trabue was formerly vice president for DC Affairs at PEPCO. Prior to PEPCO, he worked at the Greater Washington Board of Trade as Staff Director for Critical Issues for DC and Maryland. Prior to joining the Board of Trade Mr. Trabue served as Chief of Staff for Council Chairman Linda Cropp.
Mr. Trabue is a fourth generation Washingtonian, and like his mother and grandmother, he attended the DC Public Schools. Mr. Trabue attended Takoma and Murch elementary schools and Deal Jr. High School. He graduated from St. John’s High School, received a degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and a law degree from Howard University School of Law. Mr. Trabue is a member of the DC Bar and serves on the boards of directors of the DC Chamber of Commerce, DC Appleseed and DC VOICE. He is also a DC public school parent. Mr. Trabue is married to Tracey Ward Trabue. They have two children, Justin and Teddy, III. The family resides in Ward Four.
